  1. Citizenship Classes

    The International Rescue Committee hosts weekly citizenship classes at the resource center to prepare participants for the citizenship test they will need to pass in order to become U.S. citizens. The class not only covers U.S. history to prepare the students for the test, but also provides the students with helpful information about the interview and testing process as well as what they can expect on their big day.

    Get out and make a difference in Avondale at the Tres Rios Make a Difference Day. We'll be enhancing the Base & Meridian Wildlife area with a river clean up, painting over graffiti, trail building and other improvements.

  1. Howl-o-ween Fest and Open House- Pet and Family Friendly event

    October 30, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Outdoor Festival: 13034 W. Rancho Santa Fe Blvd. (Dysart and Rancho Santa Fe, across from Walmart) Public Parking: to the West of our event in the King Valley Church parking lot and strip mall

    Howl-o-ween Fest and Open House is a FREE, family and pet friendly, event. We hope to bring awareness to the West Valley Community about our multi-specialty veterinary hospital and Pete & Mac's Pet Resort. Kids and pets are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costume. There will be costume contests, games, bouncy houses, food trucks and much more! *Please bring proof of vaccines for your pet. All pets must be on a leash during the event.

  1. Gangplank Avondale Hacknight

    October 28, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ 525 N Central Ave

    Hacknight is a collaborative night for software projects, hardware projects, or just plain making things. There is access to a 3D printer, arduinos, industrial sewing machine and more. Come in, work on your project, meet new people, collaborate, and have fun. We typically have pizza. Feel free to bring your own snack to share too.
